OnEarth's cardboard
caskets
adhere to the strict Occupational Health & Safety standards of the Australian funeral industry and the various State Government
legislation
requirements.
Our cardboard caskets are made from
an innovative design using patented honeycomb cardboard technology. This ensures
all panels, base and lid are a solid 3cm (1.2") thick. A 3mm thick
particle board however is added to the underside of the casket to ensure they
meet the requirements for Australian crematoriums and cemeteries.
Tested for Safety
OnEarth caskets are guaranteed NOT to distort or collapse when subjected to the
kind of handling required in the Australian funeral industry (including handling when
damp). Our caskets have been tested by the NSW Government's OH&S
testing authority - TestSafe Australia.
Below is a summary of their results:-
1. Weight Test: OnEarth
funeral caskets have been tested to safely carry up to 120kg .
2. Cold Storage Test: A
OnEarth casket was stored for 7 days in +/- 3o centigrade
with test sandbags weighing 120kg. On removal, the casket still remained
sound with no signs of collapsing or folding.
